Some New Vinyl Projects~

Over the past couple of months, I've done a couple of vinyl projects for myself or friends that I wanted to share.
Wedding Tiles are always popular but I like how these have the first initial instead of the last name that you see all the time. I also like the simplicity of the date...and no 'Est.' in front of it.
Unless you've been living under a rock...you know that SUBWAY art is all the rage these days. Here are a couple of projects I've just recently done.
A good friend of mine is from San Francisco & wanted to surprise her parents with a large sign that had all the places they used to go in SF when they lived there. So she sent me the words & I imported the logos or fonts that matched the place, then put the board together. LOVE the way it turned out!!
Recently, 2 of the ladies who serve in YW with me JUST had babies. They were both 3rd babies so I REALLY wanted to do something special for them but different since they weren't really in NEED of baby stuff. I found the idea of baby subway art on Pinterest & thought it was DARLING!! Here is what I came up with for them.

When I was called as YW Pres, the YW closet had some value boards in there. I liked the idea of having a board with each value but the boards in the closet were old and needed a little face lift. So...to get ready for New Beginnings in January, I re-did all the boards. I'm proud to say that I modge-podged paper to the front of a wood board. I've NEVER MODGE PODGED BEFORE!! SO YAY FOR ME!! Then added the value in white vinyl & a small flower to match. I was really happy with how they turned out!

Every Christmas, I decorate my downstairs bathroom in lots of holly berries. I add hand towels, Christmas ribbon, & a Christmas soap dispenser. This year I also added this vinyl to our glass shower door. This vinyl makes it look like the glass has been etched but really its just a large vinyl applique. It is subtle but I think added the perfect final touch to the bathroom.
Happy Crafting Everyone!!

Vinyl for your Teachers

It's that time of year again!! I can't believe how quickly the school year passes.
Right now is the time to be thinking of thank you gifts for your teachers.
Here are just a few ideas of what you could do.
 All are inexpensive & easy to put together.
 I found these ADORABLE apples filled with anti-bac hand sanitizer at Bath & Body Works back in the fall. I gave them to my boys teachers as a back to school gift. Just add your teachers name in vinyl and Viola you have a totally cute, personalized present. Plus it's practical.
{Teacher's name in vinyl just $2.50 each}

One of our most popular items we sell at the end of the school year is the vinyl for a candle. You can find a white large pillar candle just about anywhere and grab the vinyl from us. Wrap in cellophane and again totally cute & easy teacher gift.
{candle vinyl $6.00}
Bottom layer: TEACHER
Top layer: "Touches a Life Forever"
If the teacher vinyl for the candle seems to "teacher-ish" or impractical...
(I am all about practical gifts)
you could also just do the teacher's last name in vinyl on a candle for a gift that he/she could take home with them.
{candle name vinyl $5.00}
Found this online at mymixofsix.blogspot.com
SO darling. I just LOVE this gift idea!!
You just buy a small cracker jar
(they run between $2.50-$4.50 @ Walmart depending on the size you get),
 pack of pencils, vinyl from us, & tie it all up with a ribbon.
{vinyl for cracker jars $3.50 each}
In these 2 pictures, I have a friend who bought some cute metal boxes (which can be found at Michaels as well as Hobby Lobby) & then had me do names and/or initals in vinyl to decorate the outside of the box.
In the top picture the box was filled with a everything your teacher would need to give herself a pedicure. Flip flops, lotion, foot scrubber, maincure set.
In the bottom pic, the box is filled with thank you notes from all the kids in the class. How sweet is that!!
{TOP PIC: initals for box $2.50}
{BOTTOM PIC VINYL $5.00}
BOTTOM LAYER:teacher's names
TOP LAYER: "thanks for the memories
OK...These apple cookie jars are hard to find. I found them @ Walmart a couple years ago on Christmas clearance so I grabbed them and stored them till the end of school. Then finished them off with the teacher's names. These are still my favorite gift I have ever made for my boys teacher's and they just LOVED them.
{cookie jar vinyl-$5.00}

2011 LDS Mutual Theme

I'm so excited to share my newest creation. I made this vinyl lay-out for the new 2011 LDS Mutual Theme. It is the 13th Article of Faith. Subway art, like this, seems to be everywhere latley and since the Article of Faith is so long, I figured this was a good way to get all the "key" words on the tile. If you'r interested in one for your ward YW or YM...email us at whateveryousay@cox.net.

Deck the Halls with VINYL

 What better way to bring in the holiday season than to decorate those boring old walls with vinyl. The great thing about decorating seasonally with vinyl is that it's not only an inexpensive way to bring the holidays to your house but it's also easily removed once the season is over and you will never even know it was there.
These are just a few of our new holiday designs. I will be updating with more designs soon...so keep checking back!!
